JUTAI CG15-8L12 8 Beam Grid Mini Cross Detection Safety Light Curtain with 12m Range and IP67 for Industrial Doors

The JUTAI CG15-8L12 is a compact industrial door safety light curtain designed for high-speed doors, garage doors, cold storage doors, sectional doors, roller shutters and loading dock doors.

It uses an 8-beam infrared detection system combined with cross-detection technology to form a wider protective grid across the doorway. When a vehicle, forklift, pedestrian or other obstacle interrupts the infrared grid, the receiver immediately changes the relay output status and sends a safety signal to the door controller.

The CG15-8L12 is especially suitable for projects requiring a compact Grid Mini-style safety sensor. It provides an alternative solution for industrial door manufacturers and system integrators looking for a slim-profile, long-distance and weather-resistant door protection sensor.

Unlike a basic parallel-beam photocell system, the CG15-8L12 combines horizontal and crossing infrared beams to create a denser protective detection grid.

This design helps reduce blind areas between individual optical points and improves obstacle detection across the industrial door opening.

The transmitter and receiver support a maximum detection distance of up to 12 meters, making the sensor suitable for wide industrial doors, warehouse entrances and large loading dock openings.

The slim aluminum housing can be installed inside the door rail or externally on the door frame. Its compact structure is suitable for applications where installation space is limited.

The sensor supports two operating modes:

Normal Mode:
Any interrupted infrared beam immediately changes the safety output.

Concealing Mode:
Fixed obstructions caused by the door rail or door structure can be concealed during setup, allowing the remaining detection area to continue operating normally.

This function is especially useful when the light curtain is installed inside an industrial door guide rail.

The IP67-rated housing helps protect the internal optical and electronic components against dust, moisture and water exposure.

The safety light curtain consists of one infrared transmitter and one receiver installed on opposite sides of the door opening.

The transmitter emits multiple infrared beams toward the receiver. Cross-detection technology creates additional diagonal detection paths between the optical points, forming a grid-style protective area.

When all beams are received correctly, the relay remains in its normal operating state.

When a forklift, vehicle, pedestrian or object interrupts the detection grid, the receiver changes the relay output and sends a signal to the industrial door controller. The controller can then stop, reopen or prevent the door from closing, depending on the programmed door logic.

In Normal Mode, interruption of any active infrared beam generates an output signal.

This mode is recommended for external door-frame installation and applications where the complete sensing area must remain active.

Concealing Mode is designed for: When the light curtain is installed inside the door guide rail, the situation where the door body descends and blocks infrared rays from top to bottom is considered normal mode and does not trigger the relay; When an object blocks infrared radiation other than that blocked by the door, the safety anti smashing function is triggered to open the door

Install the transmitter and receiver vertically on opposite sides of the door opening.

Make sure that:

• Both profiles are installed at the same height.
• The optical surfaces face each other.
• The profiles are parallel and not twisted.
• The installation surface is rigid and vibration-resistant.
• Power and signal cables are separated from motor and inverter cables.
• The relay output logic is confirmed before connecting to the door controller.
• Concealing Mode is configured only after the sensor is correctly aligned.
• The complete detection area is tested before the door is placed into service.
