The RD79-6M is a high-precision 79-81GHz millimeter-wave radar sensor designed for parking barrier gates, vehicle entrance and exit control, pedestrian safety detection, and access automation.
It integrates multiple operating functions including Anti-Crush Mode, Trigger Mode, and Inclined Mount Trigger Mode, allowing the same radar to be configured for different barrier gate applications.
The sensor can distinguish between vehicles and pedestrians, supports vehicle-only detection or pedestrian and vehicle detection, and provides flexible on-site parameter adjustment through a Bluetooth mobile APP.
With 4cm distance resolution, a response time of less than 100ms, RS485 communication, and adjustable detection zones, the radar is designed for reliable barrier gate safety and vehicle triggering applications.
- 79-81GHz Millimeter-Wave Radar: The sensor operates in the 79-81GHz frequency band, providing high-precision short-range radar detection for barrier gate systems.
- Anti-Crush Mode: Designed for barrier gate safety protection. The radar monitors the configured detection area and can detect vehicles or pedestrians beneath or around the barrier arm.
- Vehicle Trigger Mode: Can be used to detect approaching vehicles and provide a trigger signal for barrier gate opening or access control logic.
- Inclined Mount Trigger Mode: Supports an inclined mounting trigger mode, providing additional flexibility for installations where standard mounting positions are not suitable.
- Vehicle and Pedestrian Detection: The detection target can be configured as Vehicle Detection Only or Pedestrian and Vehicle Detection, adapting to different parking entrance environments.
- Bluetooth APP Configuration: Radar parameters can be configured directly through the mobile APP via Bluetooth, simplifying commissioning and maintenance.
